Runescape Hydrixian jewelry

Hydrixian jewelry is one of the most poorly-designed pieces of content in a long time. The most basic fault in the logic is that it’s designed as endgame jewelry. However, that will not always be the case. That means that new jewelry will need to be better than hydrixian to be relevant, which will lead to power creep, as we saw with special attacks pre-EoC.

One of the most basic flaws with the current jewelry system is that it’s all willey-nilly, with no sort of structure system. This was a core problem of armor and weapons pre-EoC, which was fixed perfectly with the tiering system. Now, the same thing needs to happen with jewelry.

Capes also suffer from the same problem, so I’ll include them as well.

Additionally, one of the other core problems with hyrdixian is that it’s degrade to dust. Simply put, degrade to dust makes equipment worthless, ESPECIALLY jewelry (since it’s not protected on death with degrade on death). There are two routes that can be gone down with hydrixian:

1) Make it level 70, and not degrade at all.
2) Make it level 75, and degrade into an uncharged state (NOT degrade to dust). Using one cut onyx on it would recharge it 100% (and this could be done at any time, not only at 0%).

Also note that the current passives on hydrixian would all be removed. I will suggest some new ones for some of them, others will have similar versions of old ones, and others won’t have any passive at all.

Additionally, the cost of hydrix would be increased to 500 soul reaper points.

So after the changes, hydrixian would look like this:

– Either level 70 and nondegradable, or level 75, degradable (NOT to dust) but fully rechargeable with one onyx.
– All current passives removed.
– All normal hydrixian jewelry (nonenchanged, nonimbued) would have no stats, and no effects.
– Enchanted amulet would have level 70/75 stats, and a +5 prayer bonus.
– Enchanted necklace would have level 70/75 stats, no prayer bonus, but heal 1% of all damage dealt.
– Enchanted ring would have no stats, but gets the current necklace passive (criticals give a 1% accuracy buff), except it also boosts damage, lasts 20 seconds, and has no stack limit.
– Enchanted bracelet would have no stats, but reflect 5% of all damage taken to the opponent (does NOT reduce incoming damage at all).
– The ring could be imbued at MA to give it level 70/75 stats.
– The bracelet could be enchanted at MA to give it the damage boost of level 70/75 gloves in all stats, and the armor value of level 50/55 gloves.
– The extra arbitrary damage of ascendri bolts would be removed, non-enchanted bolts would have no effect. They would be level 99.
– Enchanted ascendri bolts would be level 99, and they would have a 10% chance to reduce opponent armor, damage, and accuracy by 7.5% each (will not stack with itself, but can be renewed).
